On February 11th, our community programs manager, Doug Laustsen, and Austin Soundwaves students from East Austin College Prep were invited to contribute to an upcoming exhibition at the Contemporary Austin.

This exhibit involves custom built instruments by Tarek Atoui, which are currently on view as a lab. Atoui has partnered with local musicians to identify the instruments' potential for music making and study how people use the instruments. One of the collaborators, Henna Chou, invited Austin Soundwaves to come participate. The results of these investigations will be presented from April 9th-14th in an exhibition entitled, The Whisperers.
