All-Region Clinic and Showcase 2023

This weekend we had a spectacular All-Region Clinic and Showcase. A big thanks to Huston-Tillotson University, who allowed us to host the 2023 All-Region on their campus! 90+ students participated in the band and orchestra, and it was a packed house of family and friends enjoying the concert.

Our orchestra conductor was Gabriela Mora-Fallas (pictured above). Gabriela is one of the few active female professional conductors in Central America. She was the first Costa Rican female conductor to conduct the Costa Rica National Symphony in subscription concerts in its 80 years of existence.

Our band conductor was Mike Lebrias (pictured above). Mike is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting at the University of Texas at Austin, where he studies with Professor Jerry Junkin and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the UT Bands.
