Webb Middle School Partnership

We have enjoyed partnering with Cecilia Calvelo and Webb Middle School this year! Austin Soundwaves had the wonderful opportunity of having Cecilia as part of our teaching staff as a violin teaching artist and summer camp director. Cecilia now works at Webb Middle School, teaching guitar and orchestra, and our team has enjoyed supporting her in this new role. Our teaching artists provide weekly sectional support to Webb's growing orchestra program. Currently, over 80 beginning and advanced musicians are participating in the orchestra. These students have participated in the All City Orchestra and AISD's FAll String Festival and are preparing for their winter concert on December 14.
