December Program Recap

December has been busy but special at Austin Soundwaves! Our team directly led and supported 12 concerts and events throughout this month alone. In addition, several of our teaching artists performed alongside their students this semester (catch Mary, Thomas, Javier, and Angelica with students at Austin Achieve Middle School!).

East Austin College Prep held their first winter concert in two years this past week! The 5th-grade orchestra, band, beginner orchestra, and advanced orchestra performed favorites including Dreidel, Israeli folk song, Frosty the Snowman, Up on the House-Top, and more! The night ended with an exceptional guest performance from Mariachi Para Todos led by Adrian Beruman and Javier Salinas. Watch the advanced orchestra perform Make a Joyful Noise in the video above!
