Join us to see Mariachi Para Todos and Kick Off Amplify Austin

Please join us on Wednesday, March 2nd from 6-8pm to see our intergenerational ensemble, Mariachi Para Todos, in rehearsal and performance. This is a chance to meet with teaching artists, participants, and Austin Soundwaves staff to find out more about MPT, our work in community ensembles, and learn about the intergenerational learning philosophy.

In celebration of Amplify Austin, our city’s 24-hour day of giving, we will live-stream the performance and provide free tacos and Austin Soundwaves swag from 6-7pm. Our goal is to raise $15,000 in 24 hours in order to keep our community music programs free for all.

Voces Oral History Center is dedicated to recording, preserving and disseminating the stories of U.S. Latinas and Latinos and weaving the many perspectives into our historical narrative at the national, state and local levels. Donations from Amplify Austin will help Voces produce 31 total Hispanic Heritage Moment segments that will be aired by KUT 90.5 each morning and afternoon from mid-September to mid-October.
