Proud to announce the Dr. Teresa Lozano Long Fellowship

Austin Soundwaves started through a gift from Dr. Teresa Lozano Long, who assembled a group of Hispanic community leaders to form the founding board. Their collective vision of a more equitable world is what we continue to strive for through all of our programming. In gratitude to our founder, and with support from individual donors and the Long Foundation, Austin Soundwaves is honored to present the Dr. Teresa Lozano Long Fellowship.

Recipients of the fellowship are students pursuing a major or career involving the arts and will receive $4,000 over a one-year period. The fellowship recipients will receive continuing support from Austin Soundwaves through mentoring, job-shadowing opportunities, employment with Soundwaves, or serving on our board, advisory council, or committees.

Austin Soundwaves will present the fellowships formally at Beyond Belonging: A Vibrant Evening Connected by Music on Friday, April 22.
