Meet Our Lead Woodwind Teaching Artist, Christina!

Will you join us and our friends All Rhythms and Esquina Tango at Pease Park next week? We look forward to a great night of music and dance Thursday, September 8th from 6pm-8pm. Several of our awesome teaching artists will perform at the event, including Christina, who is also a member of All Rhythms.

Christina has been a flutist with Austin Soundwaves for three years as a teaching artist, where she has contributed to serving and impacting the lives of her students. We are excited to have her as our Lead Woodwind Teaching Artist this year, where she will teach woodwind lessons, sectionals, and group classes. Christina also works with All Rhythms and has been playing with them for four years. Her favorite thing about playing with them is that she gets the opportunity to play and study Caribbean music and its roots.

“I truly believe ASW is impacting lives and generations by executing their commitment to the community with discipline and creativity,” Christina says. “[I believe] both programs are important to our community because they help enrich young Austin lives through music education and cultivation.”
