Daniela Santiago Signs with Sony Music Latin

How many of us have dreamed of being under the spotlight on the biggest stages? For one of our alums, she got to experience that thrill this past November in Seville, Spain.

Daniela Santiago, performed with her Grammy-nominated band, Conexion Divina, as part of the 2023 Latin Grammys. They were among several incredible groups nominated in the category for Best New Artist.

As a member of the band, which is an all-female sierreño music group, Daniela also signed as an artist with Sony Music Latin.

Daniela played viola and guitar with us at Austin Soundwaves, dating back to 2015. She was part of dozens of performances with the orchestra, philharmonic, and mariachi program. For those of you who attended our Beyond Belonging gala in 2022, you had the privilege of watching Daniela perform live as our special guest.

Said Daniela, “Austin Soundwaves means so much to me in my life. Y’all always pushed me and I’ll always be a part of Austin Soundwaves.”
