As we approach our founding day on October 17th, we’re highlighting several moments and milestones on Facebook, Instagram, and email. It fills us with pride to look back on so many events of the last 12 years, starting with 42 students at one school site in 2011 through more than 1,100 students and 23 school partnerships and programs this past year!

They got a chance to visit again with composer Clarice Assad (who presented a class at EA Prep earlier this past spring) and watched the amazing UT Symphony Orchestra rehearse the world premiere of Clarice Assad’s new work entitled, Baião ’n Blues.

They spent the week working and learning with teaching artists from other El Sistema-inspired programs throughout the United States.
